The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a pundit as "a person who gives opinions in an authoritative manner usually through the mass media". In contrast, an expert is defined as "having, involving, or displaying special skill or knowledge derived from training or experience". In summary, pundits are "form" and experts are "substance".
