I am very pleased with the addition of the red Wibiya ribbon at the bottom of the SF blog posts. I think the ribbon improves the visitor experience by allowing easy sharing of blog posts on Facebook and Twitter and translations into many foreign languages (about 2% of visitors).
A variation on the Wibiya ribbon is used by CNET on their website CNET Download.com, as shown below.
CNET has been on the web almost from the beginning. I can remember when they were one of the few product review sites. For me their use of a ribbon is a strong endorsement that they think it improves the user experience.
